Streameast Mirror Sites & Alternatives: 27 Domains Tested on October 21, 2026

What happened to Streameast? Which Streameast mirror domains still load in our latest test, whether the Streameast app and Reddit links are safe, and legal ways to watch NFL, NBA, UFC and F1.

Background

What happened to Streameast?

Streameast was shut down in August 2025 by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the anti-piracy coalition of the big US studios and streamers, working with Egyptian police. ACE said the network ran about 80 domains and had more than 1.6 billion visits in the previous year. In July 2026 a Cairo court sentenced two operators to two years in prison. Sites that call themselves Streameast today are not the original.

Streameast carried NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, UFC, boxing, Formula 1 and European soccer for free, so most people who search “streameast” or “streameast live” today want one of those games tonight. The short answer: the original site is gone, the copies are risky, and nearly every sport has a legal stream, often free with an antenna.

Streameast timeline, 2024–2026

  1. August 2024

    US Homeland Security Investigations seizes Streameast domains under a warrant from the Eastern District of Louisiana. The site moves to backup domains within days.

  2. February 2025

    A second round of US seizures before the Super Bowl takes down dozens of sports-streaming domains, including Streameast addresses.

  3. August 2025

    ACE and Egyptian police raid the operators; the network’s domains are transferred to ACE.

  4. September 3, 2025

    ACE announces the shutdown: about 80 domains and more than 1.6 billion visits in the previous year.

  5. July 2026

    The Cairo Economic Court convicts two operators: two years in prison and EGP 5.5 million in fines each, plus asset confiscation.

Our test

Streameast mirror test: 27 domains checked

We took every Streameast domain that people search for by name, plus the sites that Similarweb shows getting the clicks for “streameast”, “streameast mirror” and “streameast alternatives”, and opened each one. None could be tied to the original operators. Out of 27 domains:

Is Streameast safe? Copies, apps and Reddit links

No Streameast site today has a known operator, so nobody stands behind what it serves. These are the four ways people end up on one, and what to watch for.

Streameast mirror sites

  • The pages that still load copy the old Streameast look and name, sometimes alongside other dead brands such as BuffStreams.
  • “Mirror list” pages are run by third parties and point to domains that change weekly.
  • Parked Streameast domains forward to ad networks, which is where scam pages come from.

The Streameast app and APK

  • Streameast never had an app in Google Play or the App Store, and streameast.app did not respond in our test.
  • The top result for “streameast app” is an app-builder listing, not a Streameast product.
  • A Streameast APK on a Fire TV Stick or Android TV gets wide permissions from an unknown developer: skip it.

Streameast links on Reddit

  • “streameast reddit” gets about 74,000 searches a month: people look for whichever link a thread calls current.
  • Anyone can post a link, and several of the most searched domains in our table are seized, parked or for sale.
  • Check a domain against the table before you open it.

Pop-ups and fake player updates

  • Free sports streams earn from pop-unders, “allow notifications” prompts and fake “update your player” downloads.
  • Close the tab instead of clicking “Allow”, and never install anything a stream page offers.

Is it illegal to use Streameast?

Streameast showed games without a license from the leagues or broadcasters. That is why US agents seized its domains in 2024 and 2025 and why its operators were convicted in Egypt in 2026. In the US, enforcement has gone after the people who run these sites rather than viewers. In the EU, the Court of Justice ruled in case C-527/15 that streaming from an obviously unlicensed source can itself infringe copyright. The legal options below remove the question entirely.
