Is LookMovie down? What is really going on
LookMovie is still online. The site moved from lookmovie.io to a .to domain in 2022 and still runs there. When LookMovie seems down, the usual cause is an old domain that is now parked or for sale, a misspelled domain such as “lookmovies2”, or a clone that copies the name.
“lookmovie2.to” alone is searched about 173,000 times every 28 days, and “lookmovie reddit”, “lookmovie alternative” and “is lookmovie2.to down” add tens of thousands more. Below is what each LookMovie domain led to in our test, and the free, licensed services that stream the same kind of catalog.
LookMovie timeline, 2021–2026
2021
The MPA and ACE obtain a US subpoena to identify the operators of LookMovie, then on lookmovie.io, and several other sites.
2022
The .io registry suspends lookmovie.io; LookMovie moves to a .to domain, and ACE seeks another subpoena for it.
October 2026
In our test, the original site still loads while clones, parked and for-sale domains reuse the name.
